Learn Xactimate for free: a 25-minute beginner training video, step-by-step guides to estimates and ESX files, and free templates and macros, all from EstimateHub.
This free 25-minute training takes you from your first look at Xactimate to writing your first estimate. It is made for public adjusters, independent adjusters and restoration and roofing contractors.
ESX files let you reuse estimate structures and line items, and turn them into Xactimate macros. ESX World is a free library of ready-to-use ESX files.
If you received an estimate as a PDF, you can convert it to an ESX file and edit it in Xactimate instead of retyping it. Your first conversion is free.
EstimateHub's training is free, but it is not an Xactimate certification, and we do not issue certifications. Certification and official training come from Xactware, which is part of Verisk. Verisk lists its training and certified trainers on its Xactimate training page. Check with your carrier, employer or state for any requirement that applies to you.
Yes. The Xactimate 101 video, the guides on this site and the templates and macros in ESX World are free.
Start with the Xactimate 101 video at the top of this page. Then watch the Xactimate estimate example, and download a template from ESX World to practice with.
Certification is optional and is issued by Xactware, not EstimateHub. Check with your carrier, employer or state to see whether a requirement applies to you.
An ESX file is a structured estimate file used by Xactimate. It stores line items, quantities, notes and folders, so another user can import and edit the estimate. See what is an ESX file in Xactimate.
ESX World has free ESX files you can import into Xactimate and turn into macros. See ESX World.
